What I liked About Your Story

What I liked about your story was the trust element between Evelyn and her doctor. While it does not relieve her of responsibility (i.e. knowing the good doc may not be so good), it shows the conflicted nature of someone going through a process of which they are not familiar and getting dragged into it based on misguided trust which alleviates guilt

Interesting Observation

Unicorn, I'm glad you enjoyed it. That's a very insightful comment, and it hints at the psychological patterns people use when they have any kind of social "transaction." Especially your comment about how yielding up control is sometimes a way of absolving oneself of responsibility or guilt. It's true that the doctor crosses a line he shouldn't, and that he is misusing his power, wielding an undue amount of influence on somebody not as strong as he, in terms of willpower and intellect. But at any time, Evelyn could have simply walked out. This story is pure fantasy, because Evelyn actually does like what is going on, which is highly unlikely in a real life situation. The doctor is doing something I would find disgusting and reprehensible in real life, but for many of us fantasy provides excitement by depicting the crossing of lines, and improbable or surprising weavings of mutual desires. Not to mention the age-old "power exchange" play.
