Heart warming

This story is so heart warming and romantic. This is the kind of love and commitment most of us are longing for. The story is also very well written. Thank you for sharing this with us.

Utterly magnificent

I've read a lot of your work over the years. Short this may be, but the quality is peerless.

Outstanding

As a former military officer myself, I know the hardships my wife has had to endure, yet our love for one another is stronger than ever. A lovely story that has filled me with emotion. A wonderful read.

A military family.

This is by far the best story ( or description ) about or what a military family really is. Having served during Vietnam Nam, as a med tech, also in neuro surgery IC unit at Wilford Hall USAF Hospital - takeing care of many wounded, seeing their families, this story brought tears to this 75 yr. old veteran. Every day, I am proud to have served in the way I did, and thank the writer for such a poignant story. I salute you!

Another beautiful job

Very, very well done. Sentimental without being the least bit sappy. Anyone looking back on a long, happy marriage after losing a spouse will be moved. When the spouse's death, already expected, comes immediately through a heroic act, the pride and love will be greater. A very powerful and believable story. Thank you.
