Pure tech going up against pure bio.
Has a ring of "expanse" to it, with the adapting biomatter and such, all in all looking promising.
I'm very interested in seeing how the interpersonal relationship with the crewmates develop
This is absolutely incredible! I'm in love with the varying characters and I'm sad about the ones we lost (rip Atlas Q.Q). Very much looking forward to more of this!
“I’ve detected something eating the edge of the galaxy!”
“Oh my. What are we going to do?”
“My plan is to send you to the naval academy for 3 years.”
“Terrific plan, ma’am! That will show our planet-destroying enemy that we mean business. You are a woman of action!”
HAHAHAHAHAHA!
I really like Deeva, Vecora, and Tabby. Now I'm hesitant to read chapters 2 and 3 because there is likely to be little point regarding plot and I'll just get to the point that I'm angry for letting myself get more invested in the characters, only to see them abandoned at a cliffhanger.
Oh well. Maybe if this gets another chapter I'll come back to read on it some more.
5* for great characters, plot, and imagination. Please consider giving this story some more love.
Not your best, but not your worst. I agree with MajorRewrite, the response to a major invasion seems a bit feeble. My other criticism is that the plot often gets lost in swathes of irrelevant and unspectacular sex. Aren't any of the cadets worried about the end of their universe? Nice to see the Tyranids are back though.
