You've got my interest. Now, forgivness for what? Not to mention the wife. Time to fill in the blanks :-) with MORE
... the blanks have to be filled in.
Many people may have a desire for forgiveness - I know I do - and leaving out the specifics makes the story relevant to more people, maybe.
Also, forgiveness is meant to soothe pains and wounds in a common movement of respect and appreciation. Reminding of the past has no place at the time forgiveness has (just) been granted ...
Does that all make sense ?
The "forgiveness" aspect was far too central to the story to be so vague. I spent the entire time reading it wondering what the hell the backstory was instead of getting into it.
obviously she had done something to him that has made him leave her 11 years ago. Whether they were married or a couple. In the meantime he got married (or remarried), and as I can deduct his wife either died or again divorced (probably died). So after 11 years she's finally found him in that cabin
You will be forgiven if you provide clarity:
what happened 11 years ago?
Where is his Wife now? Dead? Divorced? Still married but separated?
Kids?
Her life in these 11 years?
Good story but I will not bother rating if there is no follow up.
One question though: is the hectic sex the answer to the forgiveness OR should they first iron out the issues. After 11 years, with serious issues between them, its not "normal" to just bang each other without some closure or answers???
Something missing here....
I forgive you for the repeated capitalization of "He" which is to be limited to God & such figures.
