Fourth Year After Ch. 04

"No, he made love to you instead the next day," I quipped. "Is it another coincidence that he and Amanda hooked up, then?"

Sandy shook her head no. "Both families realized Amanda was going to the same school, so had them look each other up, and to say they clicked is like calling a stick of TNT a firecracker. Since falling for Amanda, he's been more focused on being with Amanda, Paula and Nancy in Minneapolis on his breaks, in between being with Amanda and me on campus. The only time he's been to Dallas was last Thanksgiving. Now that he has graduated, he's moved into Paula's house officially. During my visit, I made love with all four of them. Amanda's Mom and Aunt have offered to help Aaron take care of Jeremy while Amanda and I are still in school, and I've finally accepted. I actually wasn't sure I knew how to explain that decision without revealing their secret, so I'm glad that Suzy being at your job kind of gave me the opening."

Henry coughed, then said, "Well, since this seems to be the night for coincidences that totally aren't, would you believe that I knew Steve Jensen pretty well, back in college? We were in the same dorms our first two years, before I got an apartment with Tonya, and as a matter of fact, I introduced him to his wife Paula, ex-wife now, I guess."

Sandy said, "Really? Paula didn't act like she recognized my last name or ask if you were my dad. Maybe she thought it was just a coincidence."

Henry shrugged. "I didn't know her nearly as well as Steve, so she might not remember me, or might only remember my first name. I lost touch with Steve after graduation, though, but when he saw that Mandy's roommate assignment was Sandra Kilson, he called me just to see if Sandy was who he thought and to catch up. But that was last summer, and we decided not to tell you girls, so your relationship could develop on its own. He must not have told Paula about it, either. I totally didn't put together that he was the same Steve that you dated before meeting me, Tina. I don't think you ever mentioned his last name."

Mom piped in with, "Well, Sandy is going to the same school you did, and Amanda, who Steve calls Mandy, is doing the same, so it's not that big a coincidence that they'd meet, although being assigned as roommates is a much bigger coincidence. Or fate meant for them to all meet."

Sandy responded to Mom's implied question, "Her family calls her Mandy, and it's really what she prefers, but we knew that being Sandy and Mandy as roommates was only asking for teasing from folks who haven't even outgrown middle school yet, so she's gone by Amanda on campus, rather than my trying to change to Sandra, after being Sandy all freshman year, besides the fact that Aaron's sister is Sandra, too. I had to train myself not to call her Mandy, and I guess I've been thinking of her as Amanda."

I said, "So, we now know of another set of incestuous families, with four different connections to us, Henry to Steve and Paula, Mom to Steve, Sandy to Aaron and Mandy, Paula and Nancy, and now me and Suzy at work. The question is, what do we want to do about it?"

Henry suggested, "Let's at least get the families to meet. We can use more friends who we can trust with the truth about us, right? They can probably use the same."

The next day, I handed Suzy a short note:

Our connections go deeper than my mom dating your dad, it seems.

My step-dad is Henry Kilson, who was friends with your Dad in college, and introduced your parents. Also, my step-sister Sandy Kilson was your sister Mandy's roommate at the same college this past year. She is pregnant with Aaron Adams' son, due in July, who will be our mutual nephew once you marry Nick.

More importantly, Sandy and Mandy have revealed our mutual family secrets to each other, and now Sandy has revealed yours to the rest of my family, when she realized who you were as I updated my Mom on meeting you and how your Dad was. We would like to get our families together, just for friendly talk, no other expectations. Let me know.

Her eyes bugged out when she got to the last paragraph, and she looked up at me, and said, "I'll talk to my family," then put the note into her backpack, and turned back to her work.

Later in the day, she stopped by my cubicle, and handed me a slip of paper with her number, and 'Call me after work.' written on it. I nodded and she left. I put her number into my phone's contacts.

I called the number from my car's hands-free setup, on the way home.

"Hi, Suzy, it's Drew." I began.

"Are you someplace private?" she asked.

"In my car, by myself. Driving home." I answered.

"Before we go any further, I want to know exactly what Sandy told you."

"Well, I guess it's pretty much everything Mandy told her. That you discovered Sandra and Nick together, became intimate with them both and Sandra coached you to seduce your Dad. Sandra came to Dallas to meet him after that, then Nick came to visit you, and your foursome formed. Mandy arrived for her summer visit and figured out what was going on between you and your Dad right after 18th birthday. She revealed that your Mom and Aunt were also lovers and Mandy wanted to join them. You, Mandy and Steve surprised your Paula and Nancy, they agreed to let Mandy join them, and a reconciliation with your dad happened. You moved to Dallas followed by Nick and Sandra, with Mandy staying in Minneapolis. When you and Sandra suggested Mandy meet Aaron at school, they fell in love, eventually adding in my step-sister Sandy to their relationship. At Thanksgiving, Mandy and Aaron revealed themselves as a couple to your family and Aaron asked for your Dad's blessing to marry Mandy. The next day, Mandy and Aaron came by our houses to visit Sandy, where Aaron told Sandy about getting engaged to Amanda, and they had sex which is when Sandy became pregnant. Am I missing anything important?"

Suzy paused, before saying, "No, that pretty much covers it. So what about your family? Mandy hasn't revealed your secret to us, probably because she doesn't know the families know each other. How did things develop with you?"

I took a deep breath and said, "Well, my Dad died in December of 2012, and my Mom Tina and I got closer as a result, and through a series of circumstances, she had sex with my girlfriend Patti, right before Patti went back to school, while I studied remotely for the semester, and Mom and I became intimate in February. The three of us formed a triad marriage the next month, and I got publicly engaged to Patti at the same time. We were discovered a couple months later by my uncle's girlfriend Toni, who I think of as my aunt, and after she broke up with my uncle, she moved in with us and became our lover, but originally didn't want to marry us, although she is now. With me so far?"

"Yes," Suzy replied. "Triad, plus an extra lover."

I continued, "Right. When Patti and I went back to school in the fall, Mom and Toni both started dating new boyfriends. My mom as cover for her relationship with me, Toni because she wasn't looking to marry us. Your Dad was the first man Mom dated, and I met him at Thanksgiving, but Mom broke up with him between then and Christmas. Henry moved in next door after Christmas break. He's a doctor and Mom's a nurse, so they knew each other from the hospital, and started dating. I didn't get to meet him until Spring Break. That's when we discovered that Patti already knew Henry too, because his older daughter Amber had been Patti's lover in high school. Amber revealed to Patti and then to me that she had broken up with Patti back then because she had begun a sexual relationship with Henry, who was also dating Mom as a public cover. I revealed my own incest to Amber, then we mutually sprang it all on her Dad and my Mom, which caused Sandy to accidentally reveal that she was involved with Henry, too. I wound up being intimate with both Amber and Sandy over the break."

"So, no wonder Sandy had no problem with Mandy's revelation," Suzy said. "I know my mom and aunt have met her, but Mandy and Aaron haven't brought her to meet Dad and I yet, and she lives right here in Dallas. How long has Sandy known about us?"

I answered, "She said she just found out, while visiting Minneapolis. She was still undecided whether to formally join in a group marriage with Aaron and Mandy in Minneapolis, so Mandy confessed that her relationship with your mom and aunt was the reason she didn't want to move to Dallas."

"Anyway, continue your story," she prompted.

"In between the revelations about Henry, Amber and Sandy and the wedding between Patti and I a week later, my aunt Toni broke up with her boyfriend, and asked to join our group marriage, making us four at the time. Two months later, when we graduated, Patti, Mom and Amber each revealed they were pregnant. Henry claimed in public that Mom's baby was his, and married Mom over the summer. Ultimately, Amber had twins, a daughter by me and a son by a friend of mine."

"How did you two guys handle that?" Suzy asked.

"Kenny didn't know, because Amber never told him about her and I being intimate right before him, on the same day, in fact. I had to stand by while they got engaged. In mid-December, the babies were born and it came out that Amber's daughter couldn't be Kenny's because of her Rh factor, and I had to admit she was mine. After Kenny blew up over that, Amber broke off their engagement, and Henry and Amber joined us in our marriage. Kenny moved to LA and hasn't contested custody. Patti, Amber and I then declared ourselves as a polyamorous triad, and Henry, Mom and Toni did the same, hoping the division would hide the incest, similar to what you're doing with separate engagements."

"Has it worked?" Suzy asked.

"Not completely. My son with Mom resembles my dad and me enough to either make people suspicious, or confirm suspicions they already had. It hasn't been anyone who would report us to the police, thankfully."

Suzy asked, "So, that brings you up to December of 2014, right? Any developments since then?"

"Yeah. Sandy opted not to marry us, and wound up involved with your sister and Aaron at college, instead. Toni chose to leave her retail job, for a combination of remote study towards a marketing degree and being our nanny. My wife Patti is pregnant again with a son, due the same time as Sandy's, and Toni is also pregnant by me, due next January, with Henry claiming he's the father again, because it's easier than explaining why his poly wife is carrying my baby. That will bring us to six kids. Is that clear enough?"

"I might have some other questions later, but that's good enough for now. You tell that pretty well, and thank you for your honesty. So, where do you see things going with my family? More sex?" Suzy asked.

"We're actually just looking for us to be friends, who we can trust with our secret. No other expectations, okay? People we can talk to about the challenges we face, not only about the incestuous parts of our family dynamic but the polyamorous part of it, too. Our families are going to be linked by Sandy and Aaron's son Jeremy anyway, and now I find out that Sandy has accepted Mandy and Aaron's proposal to join your Minneapolis family as a fourth wife."

"What? Why am I just hearing about this now?" Suzy said.

"As I understand it, the revelation of your family's incest swayed Sandy's decision just recently, as it would mean that Paula and Nancy would be her co-wives in helping raise Jeremy, not just Mandy's family. I expect Mandy is hesitant to reveal that she exposed the secret."

"Does my Mom realize that Sandy is Henry's daughter?" she asked.

"Doesn't seem like either Paula or Mandy is aware of the connection. Henry thinks she might have forgotten him, after 25 years. Anyway, we all thought we might as well get to know each other better openly, rather than trying to continue protecting secrets our sisters have already revealed. If more than that ever develops between us down the line, I don't think anyone would object, but it's difficult enough keeping lovemaking equitable with six of us, while pretending to be two triads. It would be so much more complicated with ten or even fifteen participants, if the five in Minneapolis get involved, too."

"I can see that," Suzy said. "Combinations and permutations go nuts the bigger the numbers get."

I added, "There's another incestuous family we know in the area, so I might invite them, too. We considered them as prospects to join our group discretely, but they've decided to stay separate. The mother of that family is actually marrying my aunt Maria on the 18th."

Suzy chuckled, the first sign that she was relaxing about all of this. "Our own little incest and polyamory support group? Dallas Incest Club. When do you want to hold its first meeting?"

"How about this Saturday? We've got the wedding to go to the following weekend. We've got a nice pool and hot tub, and enough privacy to be clothing optional, if we get that comfortable. We'll farm the kids out to one of our grandparents. We usually do that on Saturday nights, anyway."

"That sounds great. I'll confirm that with the others. I'm almost home, but before I go, you mentioned that Henry moved in next door and I thought I heard you say houses plural at one point. Are you in one house, or two?"

"Three, actually. The summer after my dad died, the houses to either side of Mom's went on the market. Patti and I snapped up one, after Henry bought the other, to try and flip it, but moved into it instead months later, and after they married, both Toni and Mom joined him in his house that we call West, while Amber and Sandy joined Patti and I in East. Center doesn't go completely unused, as it's the one with the pool and an office, plus an extra large bed in the master bedroom when we all want to play together. It's good from a public image standpoint to pretend to be two triads in separate houses, but a pain in practical terms, with three nurseries, three kitchens, and sometimes having to cross between them in the rain or cold weather. We are actually in the process of having a bigger house built for all of us to live in together, with two residence wings, but it won't be ready for a couple more months."

"Well, I'm just pulling into my driveway. Have a good night, Drew."

"You too, Suzy. Good night, and I'll see you at work."

In addition to the Jensen and Adams families, I invited Ginger, Maria, Duke and Jean, letting them know that we had discovered another incestuous family and this was a get-to-know-you meeting.

They arrived shortly before the Jensen/Adams group, and we spent a little time on introductions, particularly for Sandy as these were her future in-laws, who she hadn't met after eight months of being involved with Mandy and Aaron.

Steve Jensen was a little older than I remembered him, but a lot happier and relaxed. Apparently, having two lovers agreed with him.

Suzy mercilessly teased him any chance she could get, while Sandra looked on with amusement, half mom, half big sister.

Nick was in between Sandra and Suzy in age and was clearly infatuated with them both, once he figured out that he could let his guard down around us.

The weather turned into an issue soon after they arrived, with thunderstorms in the forecast for the afternoon, so we moved everything inside Center and wound up not getting to swim. I managed to get the meats grilled without getting too wet, and we ate around the dining room and kitchen tables.

After, we sat around the living room, and the serious discussion started.

Steve asked, "So, I'm confused where Maria, Ginger, Jean and Duke fit in here. I got a rundown from Suzy of your family's development, Tina, but I don't think he mentioned them."

Mom answered, "Maria's my sister, and she's been intimate with both me and Drew."

Maria added, "Ginger's my fiancee, we're getting married next week. We met here at one of this family's parties last Labor Day."

Ginger said, "I used to date Henry, then stumbled on their secret the same day I met Maria. That led to my becoming intimate with my own kids, who live and go to school in Denver, and with Jean, who is my niece."

Finally, Jean said, "Duke is my husband, and I also met him here, over Skype, while I was involved in a threesome with Drew and Patti, and I also found out about their secret while I was involved with them. Imagine my surprise when I show up for a New Years' party here and run into Aunt Ginger and my cousins. Intimacy with them started the same night, then Ginger brought Maria into it, too."

Duke finished off with, "I'm Drew's best friend going back to grade school, and not sexually involved with his wives at all."

"So," Nick asked, "What's been the hardest part of being in this kind of relationship?"

I answered, "Having to keep it a secret, then having the secret leak out anyway. We've been lucky, but we always worry about that luck running out."

"How many people have found out?" Sandra asked.

I replied, "Toni was the first to discover us. Then Jean overheard Toni talking to us about it. After that summer, Patti and I got sexually involved with our college roommates, and we intentionally shared the secret with her roommate, and mine found out from her unintentionally. A week before I married Patti, she reunited with Amber and Amber shared her incest and I revealed mine in return and that certainly turned out well. At our wedding, Maria revealed that she had guessed it from observation of us and things started to develop between her and Mom first, then she and I. After the babies were born, I wound up letting it slip to KJ's dad, and Duke learned about it from him, rather than Jean. Shortly after that, Mom and Maria's parents said they had suspicions that were confirmed by Gavin's eye color not being a trait from their side of the family. Nine months after that, Ginger saw the same thing in Gavin's eyes, got involved with us all sexually and eventually her kids found out, too."

Steve said, "Most of those people are actually in this room, right? So that leaves, what, five who aren't involved with you or their own families who know, your grandparents, your roommates and KJ's dad?"

"Well, my roommate and his wife wound up involved with his mother, after his dad died last year," I said. "They're in Kansas City, or I would have invited them here for this, although I don't know how much his mom knows about us."

Toni said, "You left out Eden, Drew. She's my sister and father's daughter, who wound up taken away by CPS after her parentage was revealed. Ginger was actually the doctor who delivered her. She tracked me down in April, and will be back at the end of the month."

Steve said, "Sounds like a major combination of good luck and coincidences. I've got some of that, myself. If my wife Paula and her sister had not gotten involved, I wouldn't have been divorced. Then if Sandra weren't involved with Nick and they both get involved with Suzy, I doubt Suzy would have tried to seduce me. Incest led to more incest."

Mom said, "Then consider that if I hadn't been involved with Drew when we met, I either wouldn't have been dating so soon after Tom's death, or might not have broken up with you so quickly to then get involved with Henry, and Patti and Amber don't reunite. So many ways that this meeting today is tied to those kinds of coincidences, that I wonder if it was all fated. Then you have the coincidence that Sandy and Mandy wound up as roommates."

Toni said, "And that's not counting how my own past with my Dad and sister affected how I reacted when I discovered you, Patti and Drew. Now, my sister's daughter has come back into my life, because you gave me a place to live. Who knows if she would have found me otherwise. I don't believe in coincidences. This was all fate."
