Being older than my wife isn't a problem. Now was it such when dating and that included grandmothers and teen virgins. Like has lots of factors during the years but I've not found such a problem when it came to ages. For one thing that I enjoy even now is having a female and even a male judge me to be 50; when I'm only a two years from 80. My family never looked older. Keep writing and it can assuredly give us lots of enjoyment.
