It's nicely written even if it's in a very narrative tone ( the poetry really doesn't fit with the rest of the tone ) . Given your track record I don't think I'll like this tale very much despite your undoubtedly defending it as a " loving " relationship ( which you will do sooner or later ). You guys should get ready for the deluge of 1s and personal abuse, insults, cursing and the typical response stories like yours always get. That's the weak point in the open reader response system. There are people on this site who don't judge writing as literature but either as jerkoff material (if it doesn't get you hard it's boring) or morality tales in which women who cheat are punished, destroyed, maimed, murdered or tortured.

I've read reasonable responses in the past and I concede readers who read the stories of cheating wives to see morality upheld feel cheated if the wives and their lovers aren't punished. It's the same feeling if the murderer in a mystery gets away with the murder, or the black hat in a cowboy epic kills the hero, shoots the hero's dog, and steals the hero's wife or girlfriend. I can understand that point of view, but I think there are also a lot of readers who have serious psychological problems regarding women and sexual relationships.

A lot of readers hate any 'cuck' story and especially the ones with lots of overt sex rubbing the cuck's nose in his humiliation and the wife's triumph. But I think those are fairly simple fetish tales designed to make closet cucks happy and drive misogonysts crazy.

I think of all the writers on this site, your stories are particularly hated by the burn the bitch brigade because they aren't simple fetish stories. More than any writers I can think of, your stories examine with psychological sophistication what can lead a woman to take a second lover, who often ends up supplanting the husband. These are truly psychological horror stories to any male reader who simply can't stand the idea that their woman could want a second cock, could want sex with another man, that another man might simply supplant them and they will be left alone, on the outside, watching the woman they loved building a life with another man.

In real life, and this happens in real life, these are the cases where a man will kill his wife or his wife and her relatives, or his wife and her lover. And in fiction, insecure male readers will gnash their teeth and come up with increasingly fantastic and gruesome ways of punishing the woman for her unfaithfulness.

But, strictly as fiction, I've enjoyed a look into a frame of mind I've never encountered in real life. That's what fiction is all about, to take you into worlds you've never encountered and let you feel what it woiuld be like to live in a different world.

I have a feeling - a certainty - you're headed for a life altering, marriage changing, situation that will probably tear these two people apart or destroy the husband's life and leave the wife happier and maybe with a new husband. You're good writers and I expect the story will be painful, but I look forward to seeing where you're going to take us. Thank you for the story.

I followed Always Faithful with interest. I guess there could be relationships like it: had trouble believing husband would stay in one as described. But as an example of an emotional roller coaster; it couldn't be beat.

Good story so far and well written, not that I am an expert in these matters. What I do not understand and this happens in real life why Nancy wants her masters degree, she must be in her early to mid thirties, has a job that she enjoys, a twelve year old daughter and family life that appears to be financially comfortable so why?. Understandably many people have to go on courses to update their knowledge in many lines of work but that is different. There are many good reasons why people re-enter education in later life but usually it is because for various reasons they missed out in their early years, or have suffered redundancy and have to embark on a new career. Maybe it is ambition that drives people, they often talk of those two imposters "success and failure" and not really understanding the meaning of either.. Will continue reading.
