All Comments on 'Getting Tenure'

I don't usually comment on my own stories, or on feedback, but feel compelled to this time by some rather astonishing e-mail I've gotten (anonymous, of course).

Folks, this tale is not realistic. How could it be? The over-the-top behavior of the characters should clue you in--it's satire. Anyone who's been in academia, or who's had a boss from hell, I hope can relate to the situation.

Of course I don't condone sexual coercion, harassment, or rape in real life. Please, give me some credit :-).

The story is hot! And as a junior faculty member, it turned me on enormously to think of one of my bearlike senior colleagues using me for his pleasure. It's not going to happen for the reasons you state--but it sure does get me horny! I feel sure I'd earn tenure on these terms...

Extremely well writen as all you works are, I just hated the story line. I kept hopeing that somehow the worm would turn, but it did not. That is the only reason I continued reading. I love good sex, lovemaking , but I want it to be equal with everyone wanting the same thing.
