Anonymousover 14 years agoSorry I cant see where Gloria got any payback at all. She is s slut, remains a slut, and will always be a slut. Actually she is a whore, she did it all for money, may have been daddies money but to be paid for sex and sexual relations is whoring. Jason is married and happy, he also married a slut but one that when with the man she loves she gives up being a slut and becomes a wife.

Gualterioalmost 13 years agoI was afraid for a little while that you would have him get back with Gloria somehow after her betrayal of her finace, but never fear ... that is not the woodmanone way, and I'm glad!
DWornockover 12 years agoNo one, especially the young, grieves more than a year over a relationship. There may be flashbacks but he would have moved on.
The letter from Gloria wouldn't have been possible even if in the unlikely event she actually cared. In the first chapter she was a very intelligent girl that could see through all his plans to get her attention. In the second chapter she is some moron that doesn't realized that he is not still living the apartment and driving the corvette, and believe that nothing in his life would have changed in four years. That doesn't compute. She has resources to pay for a little investigation so just like John and her father knew about her little affairs, she would certainly know that he had sold the corvette and remarried.
In spite of the foregoing problems with the story, it was a fun story and very well written.

Gloria had not changed - not even a little bit - she was still the self focused selfish rich bitch - she did not CARE about where his life was - she wanted him "on the side" discretely -
She was looking for a piece on the side and assumed he would too - too many people impose their standards on every one they deal with - silly failing and she suffered from it - he won - I loved it -

moandickalmost 10 years agoYou have been told enough already how good the ending is, or was! I just wanted t re-iterate that fact.
I am in my 70's and do not ike excessive use of foul language or blatant sex - never have, even as a younger man serving in the Army I didn't like foul language used in front of the Fair sex.
Your writing style suits me just fine -so I wanted to say thank you for the time, effort and imagination you put into your stories - I really appreciate reading them!

Anonymousalmost 9 years agoI had a girlfriend like Gloria at one time. Oh, not rich or anything, just that when she was between boyfriends, though I should come running when she crooked her finger. I did, only once and the next time, I laughed at her. She didn't take being laughed at well and moved on to someone else.
Guys need to understand, a woman like that is nothing any man should be around, unless he's leaving cash on his pillow when he leaves. They should not be given the opportunity to procreate, lest they pass their genetic nastiness on. Whores are whore, no matter how they dress or associate with.

Anonymousalmost 3 years agoJason had no business judging Gloria... she just exercised her male manipulations, using him as he did so many other unsuspecting women... he deserved what happened to him... maybe worse... his only saving grace was Donna and she put up with him far to long.
