Nice story but there are a lot of holes as far as background is concerned. What put him in prison? What went on with his divorce? Was he cheating or was his being at a bar with some girl just a matter of circumstance? So many questions. Perhaps a followup would answer some of them?

I really liked this story, but it seems incomplete. I understand that Devin ended up in jail because of a fight in a bar, while he was with a girl who was not his wife Cynthia. But enough is not clear. It is also unclear if they become divorced or if they come back together, although I do not think so because it seems to be definitely with Ashley and his son Russell.

I think this story needs then where clear that Devin is a good guy and he has a future ...

Anyway, I give you 5*, and I hope an second chapter is coming soon.

I have misgivings about a 46-year old taking up with a young woman, even if a mother. It will ultimately be unfair to the woman, her son and any additional children.
