Please continue this story line. I want to see if he can get his Mom also.
1962, cable wasn't even a dream let alone HBO or the Playboy channel. Other than that, a very decent read. Keep up the good work.
My thanks for the comment about cable and HBO. That is exactly the kind of help I need to improve my writing. Please, if anyone spots mistakes like this or other weak points, comment on them. I try to do that when I read the story of others. The way I see it, a writers only reward is improving their craft hoping to become good enough to sell. THANKS AGAIN! thecarolinadreamer
Hello CarolinaDreamer
Just wanted to say I really enjoyed
the stories Grammy's boy ch.1 and 2
lots of real honest feelings, Grammy
talks and sounds like a southern
grammy for sure.
Two thumbs I know a lot of work
was done to make this story GR8.
Did you take a course on being
the village idiot? or were you born
that way ?
I doubt you will ever be mature
enough to have a woman, you will
probably stick with girls just above
the legal age which although they
may be nice, there is nothing as
nice as a mature woman who not
only knows about sex but life itself,
and what girl is gonna be interested
in some old fart? you are not going to
be young forever.
Yes, this is a bit late, but I just found this series. FYI: Canning is not a "pressure" process. It is a vacuum process, caused by heating the produce in a glass jar to near boiling, then sealing the jars. As the contents cool, the seal causes a vacuum to develop in the jar. Aside from this trivia, it has an enjoyable story line. Oh, yes, people have only one butt per person, each with two cheeks.
You are right about canning, of course. Without using a pressure cooker, as it's called down South, that process is usually referred to as cold packing when in fact you are simply heating the contents of the jar to expand the inside air. WE then seal the jar so no outside air can get in and when the jar cools the pressure on the outside is greater than the pressure on the inside thus a vacuum inside the jar. This works well with some things such as pickles. However, on most vegetables and on all meat (to the best of my knowledge) this method WILL result in a high spoilage rate. The use of the pressure cooker allows us to heat the contents of the jars much hotter, (Typical would be 10 psi for 20 minutes) thus creating a much higher vacuum and reducing spoilage to almost zero.
Thanks again for keeping me straight. BTY I can only hide my face and blush about the two butts on the women. Many have pointed it out and I'll try not to screw up like that again.
Brings back memories! Only my route was backwards: first was an afternoon 'first time' with my cousin; then she and I spent the night learning from my aunt; and when I went home I did Granny several times a day for a week!
I'm wanting to read more of your writings ... it's almost as if I were there.
Thanks,
The Viking
Great story, love the idea. But you say in part 1, that his first car is new and an early 1960's model. Then he and Grams go to a porno at the drive-in. (Not going to happen in the South in the 60's) Then here in part 2 the Aunt and him watch HBO and Playboy on TV (HBO started in the early 70's and Playboy TV wasn't started until the 80's)
People only have one butt--so there is no such thing as her butts. Also, a woman has a cameltoe not a camel foot. That one was hilarious.
The grandmother's physical and verbal teaching of her grandson was touching. I can imagine how she emotionally felt when he said he loved her like a wife. I know how Ricky felt after she shut him down. The story is logically progressing and enjoyable to read.
