This is twice that Mike has been raped by the Mandragora. The first time, the Mandragora was starving and didn’t know Mike. This time, it lured Mike, betrayed their friendship, and raped him. I found Mike’s stupidity/naïveté wandering into the Greenhouse again by himself hard to read, just out of character. And his rape makes me mad. I like that Lilly is back in the story! I like the Library. Shades of Dream’s Library from Sandman comics. (Have you read The Sandman by Neil Gaiman? I highly recomend it.) The idea the mandragora raped mike with the reanimated corpse of another character it just way too extreme.
