Nothing worked. The Behemoth continued to move toward her, slow and inexorable.
Lilah had just lifted her weapon to aim when a dark, agile figure leapt onto the behemoth's back, and with one impossibly mighty wrench, ripped its head from its torso.
That was another way to do it.
Lilah threw herself clear as the Behemoth clattered into a heap with a sound like an earthquake. When the sound stopped, she rose onto her knees, dizzy with relief.
The mist in front of her cleared, and the figure that rose into view was lithe, with dark eyes and skin like bronze. She stood atop the dimmed husk of the Behemoth, and there was something almost feral in her pose, in the way her fingers tensed at her sides, as though she were prepared to claw through anything that stood in her way.
"Eris," Lilah said, shock warring against her certainty that it couldn't have been anyone else.
The woman's eyes, black as onyx, met Lilah's. Her voice was low, almost a growl. "Run," she said.

Anonymousover 1 year ago‘She’s a gentle creature’ -so many layers in these characters. They believe is slavery but have some sense of decorum in how salves and soldiers should be treated (the filing a complaint was amusing). Ariadne is very intriguing.

i know he is not supposed to be a hero but why is everyone cheering up for that bastard ?
