That was great!

You wrote a very good story. Very fluid. Your characters actually show some character. You manage to make evil Rose kind of nice by making her step back on giving Alex to a guy and warning him. I liked Alex small hesitation too.

It was a very good decision to not try and explain the magic. And you did not waste lines on a meaningless build up but managed to explain the background with a comment here and another there.

Very well done in my opinion!
