This should have been the end of chapter one. You dragged it into 3 chapters for no reason.

This is why I only read stories with Pt 1 in the title after chapter 2 is posted. I still got screwed.

Sorry to disagree with you our anonymous 'contributor' but there were actually several reasons for the chapters which I'm happy to share with you if it improves your enjoyment of the story.

1 - Building the excitement of the reader through an episodic format or 'cliffhanger' has been a well worn story telling technique since the late 19th century and proven pretty successful during that time.

2 - The chapters allowed me to write the story from both perspectives with the second being from the female POV and wouldn't have flowed as well if only contained in one single timeline.

3 - Like many other new, excited contributors, I was both nervous and unsure about the reception the story might get and wanted to gauge the reaction of the forum before posting more chapters. N.B. You only had to wait a few days between each episode.

4 - And most importantly, because I wanted to write in chapters. Ya jerk!
