It is only a story, so what's the big deal? If you were willing to list your submissions, if any, maybe I could be more sympathetic. If the author uses "truth", it is purely a device for verisimilitude.

I agree wholeheartedly, that it is easy to criticise but difficult to create. It is but fiction! How stupid of anyone to think it fact.

It is but a creation, a myth, a figment of the imagination. To think you can critique such, based on fact, is beyond belief.
