Justine Ch. 09

Suddenly, Jeremiah's screams filled the house as both of his arms broke at the same time, "That's for my mate." she said as she walked away.

"Please!"

"Silence." she said softly.

Zoe watched in amazement as Justine stepped into her role as queen but when it tonight was over with, she would need tending to. That she was doing had to be done wasn't going to matter and until she adjusted fully to her role, the part of her that would never do what she just did would suffer. It had been the same for Violet and all of the queens before her. However, Justine would have something that the other queens didn't have... a confidant with whom she could share all things. It was Violet's gift to Justine as well as the indoor garden but who knew? Maybe Justine would be the one queen that could tolerate sunlight and the one queen who would adjust to her role with minimal psychological discomfort.

"Zoe, call for a van for our guest and have them take him home. I'm assuming that you know where he's supposed to go? And call for a separate van for Quinn, I don't want him in the same space as that." she said indicating Jeremiah.

"Yes my queen..."

"And stop that, my name is Justine... by the way, you don't happen to have any blood available do you?"

"No my.... Justine but I can have some brought with the van." Zoe replied.

"Ummm no, I can wait. Before you go have Quinn taken to the front and make sure that he's comfortable and then have Pam bring the family in here."

Several minutes later, Jeremiah, Quinn, Zoe and Pam were gone leaving Justine alone with Amanda and the girls. Amanda stared at Justine wide-eyed and too afraid to speak although she wanted to thank her. When she looked at her, Justine looked like a very nice woman who couldn't have just been a vampire.

"What were you doing before he came here?" Justine asked.

"W... watching a movie, snow white.... No, Cinderella! I shouldn't have let him in... I....."

"Quiet." Justine said gently, "he was a bad person."

Justine woke both girls and compelled them and Amanda to look at her.

"You won't remember anything that happened tonight. None of it happened; you watched Cinderella and you all fell asleep on the couch. If you ever see any of us, you won't remember us with the exception of Quinn. Whatever worries you have regarding money or anything else are gone, you will always be safe... When you wake up, it will be when your husband comes home and your lives will go on. Get comfortable and go to sleep. Don't wake up until the time I told you."

Justine watched as Amanda and the girls got comfortable and fell into a deep sleep, she healed the wound on Amanda's leg making sure that there was no trace of it. She walked around the house to be sire that there was no evidence of the nights events and cleaned it up if there were. Justine looked at Amanda and the girls one last time before vanishing to a home that she had never been to in her entire life.
