I believe the point of the story is that they are two bisexual women who are married to each other, so they don't have husbands and are not cheating.

It was a good story, although leaving someone tied up and alone is pretty uncool, and something no one who knows about proper bdsm would do (the gag could make them vomit, which they then choke on and die).
