Excellent world building; wonderful story telling. I look forward to reading further instalments of Kira's travels.

May be harsh indeed. Magic is unfamiliar in our world, but if it can explain any of the unsolved instances in our lives perhaps there is more to it than anyone realizes! What if some missing persons have "slipped between worlds" or been turned invisible for life and condemned to whispering their words? How awful and tragic the fate of those may be, lost, separated or trapped by mistaken circumstances!

The story is very good but has a kind of cliffhanger ending with an incomplete quest, so a sequel would be welcome.
