I would have liked to have had some thoughts from Ryan to know their history. I'd have liked to know why Ryan was suddenly so sure of himself.

Most importantly, what is it they do and is 'their type or sort' that he keeps referring to? Is it the time period that makes same sex relationships wrong? Or is it the work they do? What are you referring to?

I look forward to knowing more about what their relationship has been over the years and why it is a given that Ri would be in love with him.

This story lacks a depth of plot, character and explanation. It almost feels like a school assignment where you state the whats, wheres and whos but not the why and how.
