sad tale but we all will have to face it some day. only true love will help
through the passing. only the strong will not let the care and sometimes mean
things the sick say turn your love to hate. sad tale
Every once in a while a story appears on these virtual pages that stands out among all others. Really well written.
The story was lovely and so moving... it reminded me of mine...A Little Bit of Death.
A nice job is all that needs to be said.
Having a very sick wife, who is the love of my life, I have almost lost 6 times in the last 12 years, this story hits too close to home. Very good story and so close to home. Thank you
A sad story but a strangely uplifting description of something that will come to all of us in time. 5 well earned stars.
Most of are here for the sexual stories, but it never hurts to remember that there is a real and true love. Exelently written
Great writing. Sounds like you have been there and are describing a real event in your life. Made many tears come to my eyes. Thank you for posting it.
Quite beautiful, very moving piece. Thank you for submitting this.
I appreciate each of you taking the time to read my first submission, and I especially thank those who took the time to leave comments.
I decided not to name the characters to make it a little easier for each reader to add important personal texture and detail to this essentially universal experience. I hope everyone experiences love of the quality shared by these characters despite the heightened pain that such love can sometimes bring.
Wow, that hit home. This story is beautiful. I like your Style.
Thank you
This is amazing, and if you hadn't mentioned this was your first work I would have never known. Please keep writing and enthrall us with more beautiful stories.
Best story I've read in a while. This brought a tear to my eye and really touched my heart! I love your writing style and do hope you continue writing more of these types of stories. I just wish you gave us a little more info on her sickness. I know its not really that important what her illness is, but I'm curious all the same.
not w/ my wife but my father..mom had called and ask me to spend the night..he passed @ 5 am i too could not watch as the hauled him to the mortuary...stlcris
I really hadn't planned on starting the day by crying.
Of course, I wouldn't have been crying if this hadn't been so well written. Her hero indeed. May we all find ourselves with such a hero(ine) in our lives when needed.
Well done, and a tearful 5 stars.

Nice emotional story.
Loved it, though i was hooting for happy ending.
There's not much more to say other than "great story." I hope you write some more.
Thank you for writing this moving tale of true love. I hope you'll consider writing more.
Difficult to read when you've been married to your love for almost 50 years. Through the good times, and the bad. Our end is much closer than our beginning. Thank you for this one. Five Stars.
I also have been married over 55 years and do not know how I could continue if my wife died before I do. She feels the same if I were to leave her.
I have now read your stories and echo the request of another that you coninue to contribute stories.
Thank you
It is not fair that people of all ages die of this vile disease and yet virtually all research into treatment is funded by voluntary donations. Yes I’m looking at you Governments of the World and at the rich who care nothing about their fellow beings. You disgust me.
Utterly moving story btw, pretty much on point as well, after all, I’ve been where he is.
