nice! but with errors

apart from simple spelling mistakes, the story is quite nice.

I can't, however, wrap my head around the comcept for "increasing by a factor of 1"... Is it just me or does this mathematically equal no change at all?

Spellcheck and math

I agree that a proofreader or at least some spellcheck tool needs to be used.

And Alduinhater, you're right, it sounds like multiplying by 1 would produce no change. Maybe increment by 1? Any sort of multiplication action would run away very quickly.
