I enjoyed it, but

I enjoyed your story, but the ending didn't really finish the story. It just seemed like a slice out Lotus' life, without a true conclusion.

Anonymous doesn't really get what the story is about.

Meeting with Lotus no doubt has some story deficiencies, but what you pointed out just shows you don't understand the point of view of the story. It isn't really Lotus' story. It's David's story about how he meets a being that is so much more than him in almost every way. It's the story of the effect of the super-human on the human, but the story is of the human.
