Mouse is being a selfish cunt. She can't communicate, wants everything to revolve around her and is now out doing exactly what she didn't want mike to do. Going out with Jack was bad enough after her reaction to Kate but coming in so late after telling him to come in early? She got laid the little slut. Hell, I'd be out of there. Mike's kind of a pussy though, eg his reasoning for going out with Kate - because mom and dad where there??? Mom would have wanted him to go out??? Who gives a fuck what mom wants??? He's a grown adult let go of the apron strings!!! If I recall previous stories Mouse was going out with other people in Chicago, maybe she was just thinking about dumping Mike because she sets bored I forget. Anyway he'd be better off dumping her, esp after Jack, Kate sounds fine. really getting into the characters, very engaging story, looking forward to the next chapter

...this is how people act with one another. It can be cruel, it can even perplex the people hurting each other, but it's what really happens. You weave a very believable tale, Rob, that pulls us all into caring about your characters. ^_^ I hope it never ends.

No, it was inevitable that they grew apart, jack could her something that her brother couldn't a family, and he was kinda of a wuss.

It seems everything is about what Mouse wants. She acts like a brat. If she had sex with Jack, I can see using that as an excuse to end this relationship which really has no hope of a fruitful future.
