I was prepared to gripe about this being in the wrong category, but was glad to find that wasn't the case. Exceptional descriptions! I was somewhat distracted by the incongruity of almost complete blindness that suddenly disappeared a few paragraphs down. Overall, however, well done and would love more backstory, preferably in longer chapters!
