I sure hope there is more to come on your story, like how he gets home, back at work, etc. I had a similar expirence with a couple of girls when I was first out on my own, I too loved a Girl who pulled a similiar "joke" on me, She thought I was gay, It wasn't until later that she realized I was in love with her, Totally enjoyed the story, brought back wonderful memories of my first crush.
