I have to agree that these short, 'fill in' chapters will, in the long run, piss off your readers. While serving to give us some interesting background on Maggie. Ch. 04 served very little purpose in the scheme of things. Bornagain summed up my feelings exactly. Wayne, more meat please with longer and more frequent chapters. However, I give you a 100% for excellent writing, what there was of it! Pete.

These first four chapters have made a wonderful start on what I hope will be a long running story. The story is not overburdened with detail like some I have read but there is enough detail that it incites the imagination and builds the story. The characters set down so far have a dimensionality that makes me feel that they ARE real. In my opinion you are headed in the right direction so keep going.
