What can we I say about how I feel about this chapter?

I’ve not taken to Nicky at all throughout this story, but now, I fucking hate him!

Got my fingers crossed for a happy ending 🤞

This chapter only goes to show that there is no such thing as easy money, and there is always a price to pay. Mel should have got out while the going was good. However, I too hope for a happy ending.

Jesus Christ. How brutal. How gut-wrenchingly brutal. I knew it was coming, and still it was devastating. I've been reading along hoping this story is fiction, but assuming it's autobiographical. It's heartbreakingly poignant. What an incredibly sad but beautiful piece of storytelling.

Our real punishment takes place inside our own heads.

We have some like a hard disk drive, it’s called soul and ALL really all of our decisions are manifested there, but nothing to erase, to help us …. This pain claims us later on in our lifes

Bravo for this chapter’s revelation, the existence of which you’d hinted at in previous chapters. Enjoying your writing. There’s a bluntness to your MC’s dialogue which implies a (or perhaps is simply consistent with a druggie’s) diminished engagement with life, a lowered expectation/hopelessness. The tone of it all is atmospheric. Enjoying this story. 5#.

Brutal, ugly and so true to life. Millions of innocent women have been raped and killed by men who feel that it’s their right to do so. What a tragic series of events!
