The husband is a weak, foolish, idiotic cuckold who soon will have neither wife, family nor happiness. That's if he doesn't wind up with a dick in his own ass. If you're going to give your slut her fantasy, you have to remain firmly in control. He was never in control.

only if I can somehow feel some realistic connection to the plot and/or the characters. But I'm limited in what I can imagine because I don't "do" stupid very well at all. My problem here is that I can't remotely imagine any husband, who purportedly cares about his wife, ever doing something so reckless, so dangerous, so mindless, so stupid, as portrayed in this plot.

On a literary level, much of the writing is forced, formulaic, with no sense of excitement or adventure. It comes very close to being typing, not writing.
