Lovely story, well and literately told. Nobody hurt, or ravished, or offended. Concentrated arousal. I'm sure Beth enjoyed her Christmas after that.

I'm many years out of date, Scots-wise, but when I left MOntreal to work in England I was, as were my Scots colleagues, outraged to find that I was expected to work on New Years Day. But the Scots were surprised to get Christmas off, since they generally worked. An aunt in Newcastle told me that Geordies, in the middle, often got both days off.
