Very Nice

Very well written and tender. Nicely paced. Predictable, but that's what we want to have at Christmas, so no complaints there.

Marvelous

Your ability interweave realistic details with heartfelt characters, making us feel we're there, experiencing what they're experiencing is a true gift. You had me with these guys every step of the way. This was a marvelous holiday present and I sincerely thank you for it.

You have given this character great depth and realism in such a short time. A reader can't help but care about what happens to him.

It was a good story...

But as someone exactly the same age as Alan, I found it depressing!

sad, but beautiful

By the part,"The stranger smiled. "Oh, I really wish you would, Alan."

Now really taken aback, Alan asked, "How did you know my name?"

"Oh, no mystery, I heard the cashier say hello to you when you came in," the younger man replied. He extended his hand. "I'm Roger, by the way."

"Roger?" The man bore the same name as the lover he still missed every day. Emotions long held in check began to flood through him, and it was a moment before Alan could compose himself enough to shake the offered hand. Roger's grip was strong and cool."" You had me crying. This story was simply beautiful, and worth taking my time reading it. There is another story, called midnight, that is very much like this, the way it can bring out the tears of a person, even one with an icecold heart. I do hope you continue writing, as if all your writing is similar to this, then you will surely be an amazing author

Weirdly satisfying

I know I'm being a jerk to say that a 72 years old really shouldn't do that with a 20s boy. Yet, the plot was superb (though predictable), and sir you have stirred my emotion this very moment :-)

hopefully everyone goes like that. Eery they died so closely together, at christmastime. Nice story.

More than a wish

Christmas is a time when we remember and miss loved ones who've left us. Joining them would be the loveliest gift we could receive. I believe we will be with those we loved and who truely loved us and often try to remember their faces and the love.
