Terrific story! Well written with two likable and relatable character. Free use in a romance story! I never would have imagined it, but it worked. I will be checking out some other of your stories. 5*
5 Stars! A really beautifully crafted story, so well told. I always love what you write. You're just so gifted.
Great story ... read it while enjoying a nice warm fire playing on my 65" tv in my room. Very relaxing !
What a fun and wonderful story! Not as erotic as some of your scenes, but still an amazing and enjoyable tale. 5*
Very nice. HIm being broke was a bit of a weird twist. Looking for a chapter 2 for his fortunes to reverse.
Good story, well written. The idea of free use sex in a romance, interesting and it worked. Would love to see this go further and recover his funds, perhaps Allie running into Meredith???
I'm going with it was a setup, but that didn't take anything from the story. Great balance of narrative and dialogue with good plot flow. 4.8*
Loved the story. Fun to think of it as a read. What a good story does I guess. Thanks...
Thanks so very much for the kind comments, everyone! I never expected this story to get such a positive reception. What a wonderful way to end 2023.
Hey, really enjoyed this. The dialogue was excellent and the characterization was as well. Bravo!
It could be posted in Erotic Couplings, right, but it really belongs where it is, in Romance. Very well done. (And I probably never would have noticed it, in EC. My reading time is limited enough that I don't go there.)
Thanks, WilCox49 (and tim0277, GardeningGirly and Boyd Percy). So happy you enjoyed the story!
Recently I've realized there are a few gatekeepers in Romance trying to enforce what they view as "proper". I think with EC being a general garbage dump for any hetero two-person story, any story with characters with strong feelings for each other, a possible future and who are not just randomly mashing their bits together should be acceptable for Romance. But that's just my opinion. I won't gatekeep on this or any other category. If Laurel allows a story into a category, that's good enough for me.
