If I were Collin, I would be severely p iss ed off at Nico! Nico invites him to the Conclave, with Collin having no clue what it is about; and then Nico just abandons him to go hook up with someone else. If I were Collin, I would tell Nico to take his Conclave and shove it where the sun don't shine!
And you're assuming that nothing like that happens in the as-yet-unposted fourth chapter? *smile*
I really don't see why he shd be pissed off. Afterall, the Master calls. Can't be ignored right. Lol. So far, so hott!
Sr71plt, my comment from last night is just because that was how I was feeling right after I read chapter 3. Can't wait to see where this all leads, because it is a great story line. No disrespect intended toward you from last nights comment, sorry.
I think it's great that you are enough into the story to see the tension in the relationship. Nico is preattached to someone else (although there are tensions there too) and that someone else is a make or breaker in Nico's world, so I'm going with a dose of reality here. At this point it would also be realistic to find he was just a shallow predator, though, wouldn't it and that the protagonist just finds someone else before story's end? That's what should be happening in the middle of a story--tension and dilemma being churned--possibilities raised. Part 4 is on the way, and rest assured it includes resentment, a slice of revenge, and a car wheels screeching and someone being left in the dust scene (but this is a romance, so that's not an ending either. There's a part 5, so I'd suggest a little "wait for it" is in order). But glad you obviously are in to it.
