Again you met my expectations of a great story. Being more of a townie, I love farm stories (and, pray tell, are hay lofts really that hot, natural temperature-wise?). To follow at least one reader's comment, you could stop as some story lines for some reason become stale. But this one has more mileage in it. How about taking off in a different direction e.g. whilst trespassing onto a neighbour's land miles away, he discovers a hippy commune hidden away that (surprise, happy surprise) includes some unusually large and able body parts?

That's was several generations ago, and the original farmhouse still stands, even if the entire farm (mostly fruit trees in my time) had been parcelled off and sold. Many smaller chunks still ran as farms under new owners, and over a hundred houses lined what was once his driveway. It's now riddled with new developments, according to Google Earth. Nice try, though.
