You're making me nostalgic for The Good Old Days. . . . This tale really has it down; especially the line that goes something like "I had a gun ~ and there were gonna be some CHANGES made." Thanks ! If you can do it again ~ I'll certainly read it !
I noted your comment, with its vague reference to unspecified "mistakes," about how my story sucks, so I figured I'd better check out your submissions to see how to do it properly. Imagine my surprise to find you haven't submitted jack squat.
Troll.
Good story! Engaging. Please write more!
But you still managed a fun story that was a fun fast read. I enjoyed the whole idea and am thinking about hanging out a Private Investigator sign myself.
As a Tribute to the Genre.
Every year there are fewer of us, who remember the yarns spun on the rough paper known as "Pulp".
Detective mags...read my first in a Bus Station, waiting for my eldest Brother to ship out to San Diego for US Navy Boot Camp.
Keep at It. Writing is like an Itch; Ya Just Gotta Scratch It.
Touch all the bases with this little gem of a story. "...very Stanley Kowalski." "Don't know him..." That line made me laugh out loud! Bravo! Now to read the rest of your stuff. Carry on!
