Not all Dom/sub relationships work well. I like this example of people at cross purposes and not quite gelling.

I like your writing but not sure about this story what did she do that was really wrong for him to do all that the worst thing was tie him up but she did that cause she cared and seemed from what was explained anyway that he didn't care at all I guess it ended with me wanting more but sounds like this was the end

Desj Thank you for sticking with my story and I hope that you enjoy other Scenes as I post them. This story was never going to have a happy ending, I can be a bit dark that way, at times. The opening scene was the nail in the coffin for this relationship. Both of them did try but they needed different things from each other than what they were getting. Sometimes it isn't anything major that causes friction it is the little things that build up into a breaking point. In this story the sub has an alpha streak and she needs a very strong Dom who can Master her and make her want to totally submit. The Dom, while he is good, just doesn't have the strength of will that she needs and she can push him too far to truly give him what he needs, the level of submission that he wants. As someone else commented, they just don't quite gel, not enough to make the relationship work the way they both need it to.

Not everything is HEA or miserable together ever after. Sometimes, just like IRL, the best ending is an ending. As another said, they didn't gel. Thank you very much for NOT making it a break her down to his ideal of submission. I do wonder at your comment that she needs a stronger dom to basically force her out of her 'alpha streak' and into submission. What? Why? Why not a dom who appreciates that alpha streak? Who cherishes a strong sub who chooses to submit as she will. A strong Dom who is not threatened by a sub who will occasionally take the lead for both of their benefit? A dom who is not afraid of strength in others like this one was. D/s has many looks, as we all should know. The trick, just like in a vanilla pairing, is to find someone who 'gels' with you. To me, she sounds like a wonderful sub. I would greatly enjoy a story about her finding that dom who would not seek to alter her into another blow up doll who can make a sandwich and fetch a beer; a dom who would be able to both value and channel the strong person that she is. He in turn would reap tremendous rewards. THEN we would see that HEA.

You worded your comment better than I did my response. I wasn't meaning a Dom who would break her down. I meant a Dom who was strong enough, secure enough in himself, to not be intimidated by her alpha streak. A Dom who accepted her as she is. As a sub, when I find a Dom who isn't intimidated by my own alpha streak it makes me want to submit further to him. Because I am then secure in the knowledge that if, and when, I do flex that independent part of me it will be accepted. If I am with a weaker Dom I find I start pushing too much. A relationship destructive trait I'm afraid. I truly appreciated your comments. Unykorn

I have been reading this story but have not commented before this ending. I did give you the *s though. I was not sure where this was going but when I read part 02 I did think that it would be a hard relationship to survive the punishment which was really abuse. Even with the abuse she still wanted to try to reconcile but, it would not have been good for her for sure and not likely for him either. There are Doms that can have submissives that are Alpha as well, they do know what they are getting into in this coupling. This story feels like it may be fantasy but may be something someone has experienced as well. I hope that is not true of the author.

Thank you Gentleone. I appreciate your sticking around for the full story and for your comments. No it wasn't an easy relationship but it was one based around Dom/sub Sadomasochism. The Dom wanted a full time sub, but while it may not have seemed like it, he was a good Master the sub simply wasn't a good fit for him, nor him for her. If the sexual chemistry is all you have, and regardless of how good that is, then the relationship isn't going to go very far. Partners need to have more going for them than just the sex. These two needed different things than what they were getting from each other. They both tried but both realised that it just wasn't going to work for them, that it would just keep going downhill, and parted ways.

Very well written, I particularly liked the fact that realistically, people do not always fit in neat boxes, and sometimes, even when we want to, we cannot fundamentally alter who we are. Some things just are, and cannot be changed, and some chasms are not easily crossed. The ending of the chapter was satisfyingly wistful, almost bittersweet. Well done.

This is my second time reading through the story. I love your writing style. everythig is so descriptive an vivid. After reading through your commoents I understand what you wanted to portray through the story. However, I did not get the "she is to alpha and needs a stronger dom" vibe from the story. I got a "this poor girl.tried to do.something nice for her master and got destroyed for it. As ypu me tioned the switch was supposed to be the final.staw for him, but it is i.possible to know that from the story as it is presented. He just.seems.like an.abuser. I like the angle.that not all relationships work out, but I just ended up.feeling horribly bad for.the protagonist. It's also obvious they lacl communicatiom.skills. punishment should

Thank you for reading my story and for taking the time to comment. I appreciate the feedback. Yeah, I really seemed to fall down in explaining the intricacies of this story. I tried not to make it too long but in doing so I clipped it a bit too short. The Dom wasn't an abuser, he was just getting to the end of his tether with a sub whose personality was too strong for him. Just as she was getting frustrated with a Dom who wasn't happy with her being strong willed and, as he saw it, too spirited. It was a bad circle, the more she tried the worse things got because she was trying in the wrong areas. And this caused more strain on a Dom who really needed a more moderate/docile sub. The sex between them was fantastic but the rest of their personalities just didn't fit well enough to be together long term. Don't forget that, for her, the punishment was also pleasure. She got off on it even though it did push her limits. He didn't truly hurt her.

It was a typical case of two people who just didn't suit each other, rubbing each other the wrong way after they'd been together long enough for the initial rush of a new relationship to wear off. They simply didn't connect enough to understand each other. Just because he was a Dom and she was a sub doesn't mean that they'd suit each other in the long term. No more than an ordinary man and woman may suit each other after they really started to get to know each other. Or after they had been together for a few years. Sometimes relationships fail and not everybody gets a happy ending. Which was the case for these two characters. At least they both had the good sense to end it once they realised they weren't going to sort it out.
