Good job, but NEVER trust spellcheck. Peak and peek are NOT the same. Always go back and look it over more than one time.

It's a good story, hot and realistic. Good specifics on the backstory, etc. If I could make one suggestion, it would be to add a little dialogue. Maybe the last thing you said to each other ten years ago, or the first thing you say to each other when you meet again.

Otherwise, just keep up the good work!
