This tale had an auspicious enough beginning, but it went downhill rapidly, after Chelsea put her "one condition" ("You have to call me 'mommy'") on the table. It's bad enough when the male lead is 18. When he's 25, and the woman demands it, of him, I lose interest in the story.

Great start, but I wish it were longer. Also, try allowing your characters tell the story rather than relying almost solely on narrative (the author telling the story.)
