Sholan Alliance Ch. 02

Billy almost snapped at Sally but didn't since he wasn't sleeping well. "Tasha that is fine and I need some sleep as well." He sighed as Sally left and then stood up. "Well we might as well go and crash since I have to admit I am tired." He picked up the trays and tossed the trays in the sink.

Satasha took the trays and tossed them in the recycler before walking over to him. "Yilly if you really want I can sleep alone but.." She turned and leaned into him. "I did sleep well last night." She did lean into him. "Please I would appreciate it. It really did mean a great deal to me."

He returned the hug and lean towards her. "I did as well and will admit that your fur felt really nice." He was looking over her shoulder. "It has been a very long time since I have had a woman in my bed or in some other female's bed." He couldn't help but pull her a bit closer. "I lost my wife when my second girl was born and Sandi leans towards girls."

Billy lightly stroked her back. "Danielle is 18 and just started college. Sally is 22 and almost done." His body was tense when he was talking to her. "I do miss her and her name was Danielle. My youngest is named after her." He managed not to cry and ended up following her to where she slept. "Sorry but sometimes it just hits."

Satasha couldn't help but hug him. "Losing a mate is never a good thing." She kept an arm around him as he talked. "I do understand though never dealt with it." She leaned against him and sighed. "I have seen it before and... Let's just sleep."

Billy looked around her rooms but didn't really say anything. He did pull off his coveralls and shirt and rolled into the bed. "I will be here for you Tasha." He was still doing the nickname without really thinking about it. At the moment he was thinking about his wife and the short time he had been with her.

"Yes Yilly but I will be here for you as well." She stripped down and rolled in next to him and wrapped her arms around him. "I am sorry that you lost your mate." She curled up next to him and held him close. "Hold me and I will be here for you."

He had tried not to watch her strip down but simple curiosity sort of forced him to. With all the fur there really wasn't any way to tell she was female. Knowing she was a she he felt really odd rolling into bed and have her pull him close. "Thank you. It was such a hard time and with two little children to raise as well. It was part of the reason I got out of the Navy. I was supposed to go to a ship and someone else would have had to take care of them."

Billy slid an arm around her and pulled her close and tried not to cry. When she wrapped an arm around his head and tucked it into her neck he couldn't help it and started. "We were high school sweethearts and she got pregnant right about graduation. We were together for only about six and a half years including school." Damn it he hated talking about it since it always brought back memories.

Satasha tucked him close and gently stroked his back as he talked and cried. "I can't even begin to imagine what that must have been like." She could feel the emotions and had to close her eyes and a few tears leaked out of her eyes as well. "Well I liked what I felt of Sally when we touched so you did a good job raising them."

He couldn't feel her emotions but did sense his story had impacted on her. "How I loved her. I tried my best with my girls and tried to make sure that they were raised as she would have. Well as best possible. We might have been dating and then married but that doesn't mean I knew everything about her." God it felt good to have someone in his arms.

"Knowing you can feel emotions at least as sad as I am remembering her it feels really good to be held." He rubbed his face against her fur and sighed. "It has been five years or longer since I have had anyone in my bed. Jenna and Sandi are great friends but definitely not in 'that' way." He was starting to relax since he had cried and was simply enjoying the feel of having someone in his arms again. Yes the fur and no breasts was a bit odd but it still felt good.

She dipped on ear at him and stroked his hair. "That is a long time. By Vartra I can't even imagine going that long without at least someone to sleep next to." Satasha shuddered slightly. "We, well before we get telepath training, tend to curl up with each other. I can think of many a morning waking up in one of my brothers or sisters beds or them in mine. It is like we also tend to groom together as well. Brushing the fur on your back is a bitch."

"I know they aren't more than friends to you and anytime you need a hug or someone to curl up with come find me." Well as long as she was there. If she learned enough she might be assigned or attached to the first contact team which would be really good for future jobs. She still had her eyes closed when she rubbed her cheek against his.

When she rubbed his cheek with hers he leaned into it and smiled. "I might have to keep your ship broken for a while then..." He leaned back a bit and opened his eyes and looked at her. Since they were so close he reached over and stroked one ear before leaning forward and lightly rubbing her nose with his. "Thank you for listening. I guess having my oldest come home suddenly just sort of reminded me. That and she might have my stubborn cussedness but she is an almost dead ringer for her mother."

Satasha lowered her ears in her people's version of a blush when he stroked her ears and rubbed her nose. She didn't even think when she lightly licked the tip of his before he moved out of range. "Sorry Yilly. You are sending off some mixed signals and some I just sort of respond to without thinking." Her hand softened its touch and slid down his back before she realized he had no tail to stroke. "You are welcome and you have been here for me as well." Damn it she wanted something and badly but wasn't going to mention it.

Billy froze for a moment and then sighed. "I didn't realize." He leaned forward and lightly licked her nose before pulling her into a human kiss. "Tasha I would love to take you to bed, we are in bed but something more." He felt her slide her hand down his waist band and snickered. "Nope no tail... I did explain how we viewed things and I am not going to say you will my only lover here." She stiffened as he stroked her back and tail. She growled and rolled over so she was on top. "Oh how interesting...." Just because he stroked her tail again. "I have been interested since I discovered you are a female." He rolled his eyes. "I know it sounds self serving but I have been wondering." He was blushing as he said that. "I don't know if we are compatible physically but I am definitely interested in finding out."

Satasha growled at him and then started purring as she felt him stroke her tail and the base of it. "For that you are not going to sleep soon and I have to admit I feel the same. I want to know and from what I have seen we should be." She was still on top and started nibbling on his lips and neck. "I have watched a few videos and at least certain things should work." One question he did have was that since she was all furry what, or maybe where they were. He sort of assumed they were close to the same area human females. "I am getting ready for a shower I will call you back." He quickly hung up and flopped on his back. "Woman what are you doing? Didn't you have enough earlier?"

Satasha frowned slightly and started a security check to see how they had managed to get in. He walked to the room she pointed to and the door opened and then closed behind him. The toilet was a bit odd and automatically flushed when he was done. When he stepped into what he assumed was the shower water started flowing and he jumped slightly since it startled him. The water was a bit on the cool side but felt good.

Satasha checked the security protocols and realized that she had forgotten to remove access for them. She modified them and would issue them access badges that would let her know when they wanted in. That would resolve that issue. Now for Billy she wasn't really sure how to handle his access and finally decided to do the same for him with a security badge. Once that was done she walked into the bathroom and smiled at Billy as he let the water flow down his body.

She took a moment and looked at him since he was so different than male Sholan's. One very obvious difference was the lack of fur except in a few locations and it wasn't really fur. He had hair in his arm pits, groin and top of his head. There was some scattered hair on his chest and rest of his body but otherwise it was all skin. He was shorter than she was but he was obviously well muscled though he had a bit of fat as well. His face was most definitely unlike her race was mostly flat but had a warmth and friendliness.

Just looking at him you wouldn't know just how damn smart he was. To be honest she had been horribly shocked at the change in him when she had mentioned re-crystallization of the hyper tubes. The easy going comfortable man became totally focused and his entire posture had changed. When she finally looked at the math he had been drawing out almost horrified her. It was almost a quantum leap from what they, the humans, were using and it was her fault.
