No. What she learned is that it would have been better to be honest with her husband about taking the day off rather than make him worried that she was home alone sick. Which led him to take off from work over nothing. Something that may have been an inconvenience depending on the type of job that he has.

So this is a well deserved punishment. One that would be justified if it were carried on throughout her extended weekend.

Grown ass man made his own choice to take the day off. She said not feeling well, not that she was on her death bed. If I were not feeling well, I wouldn't want him under foot helping me by bothering me every couple minutes for something for him. If not well wasn't sick but just some me time, well he shot that all to hell, too. To me it speaks that she felt she had to sneak a day for herself. Maybe he should look around at why that was necessary.
