Anonymousover 1 year agoGasoline is green. But having 100 million burners isn't. Mix up the energy sources and we'll all be better for it. Over-reliance on one commodity is not a good thing.
SassyGal84about 8 years agoAuthorYes I am, though the idea for this story was sparked by another "What If" novel entitled "Bring the Jubilee" by Ward Moore. I did incorporate the single name idea from Turtledove's novel "How Few Remain." I'm a steampunk fan, so I had to have airships in here. And electrics cars being prevalent was inspired by the episode "Bad Company" in an obscure Western entitled "Peacemakers" that sadly only lasted one season.
