I read UaSS way back in 2015 and became an immediate fan. Was eagerly waiting for this since I saw your profile update earlier this year.

I'll hold off from reading this though until all the chapters are up. I loved UaSS especially because I read it all in one sitting and I want to do the same in SW.

I expect you're pretty much done writing the story and I hope you'll upload all the chapters as soon as possible.

Preemptive 5*s since that's what fanbois do.

Very Glad you started writing again. I was disappointed when you finished UaSS. That was a very well written story, although i kept wondering where that disk came from though. I had always hoped that you would write more. Thank you for doing more. Keep up the great work.

Stumbled on Storm World yesterday and ended up rereading Upon a Savage Shore. It was even more enjoyable than the first time and also sets up the scene for Storm World. Well worth reading it first if you haven't already.

Stories don't usually raise my adrenaline level, but so far this one sure has.

Glad to see you back, and now I'll start chewing on my fingernails waiting for the next chapter.

Damn glad to see you back, with the promise of even more to come. Was a bit of a dry spell after you finished "Upon A Savage Shore" as only a few write this type of storyline and getting to be fewer.

Holy smokes! I had about given up on you. Your name is at the top of my favorite authors list. I have read your first story about 6 times. I have imagined many scenarios and often thought of continuing it somehow. But, every time I seriously considered it, I figured I wouldn't be able to do it justice. i have read this story i like it very much i know you have said that this tale has elements that you know longer have interest in pursuing but i wanted to let you know this story has much potential in it if you ever decide to finish it i know you will create something truly great love this world you have created thanks

Here is the comment I inserted at the end of Chapter 10:

"Between this and a similar site, I have read several thousand stories over the past decade+. This one is truly creative, with a compelling plot and characters you want to care about.

It's also pointless.

When I got to the end of chapter 8 I added up the average length of a chapter of this story, considered how much of the story had yet to unfold, and realized that there was no way this story could be satisfactorily completed in the two remaining chapters. So I went to the end of Chapter 10 and, yep, unfinished.

It's not unique in that regard. The more prominent online story sites are littered with the "bones" of hundreds of incomplete, inactive stories. Some 3.5 years since the last chapter in this saga, I think this is what we are going to get.

That's really not a criticism of this or any of the other writers of what I've come to think of as "orphan" stories. With very rare exceptions, these authors' only compensation is the pleasure of creating and the comments of appreciative readers. They have lives, jobs, families and circumstances that demand their attention, and the fact that their writing has to take a backseat -- sometimes permanently -- to real life is no one's fault. Wish the author well.

I think the world this author has created is worth reading about. It is really well written. Just understand that -- as it is -- there is no ending at the end of Chapter 10.

Great start to what I hope is as good a story as Upon a Savage Shore. That one I almost couldn't put down once I started reading it.
