I've watched a number of nature programs on The National Geographic Channel about cougars. They stalk their prey silently, and then snatch it before the prey has a chance to escape.
In this story, the prey gets the snatch, the cougar isn't silent, and the prey doesn't want to escape. If I had been this kid, I wouldn't have wanted to escape, either. Hot story!
