...just a little too short for my taste though. I need something a bit longer to pique my curiosity. And the details were a little hit or miss, clothing, car, etc. nice first effort though.

"At nearly six feet tall, she easily towered over almost everyone in the room."

At less than six feet, she's only about average for male height. She might tower over a room of women, but not over a mixed room. If you're going to make a height-centric story (which you clearly did), details like this matter.
