scary situation

TR, mighty fine writing and vivid imagineering. You wrote for both the Police Sargent and Sue words of wisdom. Too many people confuse having a firearm with being capable of defending themselves.

When women ask my advice about learning self-defense, I urge them to begin with learning E&E&E. Evaluate, Evade, Escape. Learn to recognize dangerous places and situations. And get the hell out of there.

Do not accept open drinks or drink from one you have left unattended. A female or child is in as big a danger from someone they know as from a stranger.

Do not be shy about yelling and screaming and falling to the floor and kicking and clawing at an aggressor. Embarrassment is better than a stint in the hospital or being dead.

Then again, what I (old, WASP male talking here) think that one of the most regrettable errors the Feminist Movement accepted from Modern Humanism was pacifism.

Women demand equality with men and they have to be willing to accept the same price to be paid. i.e. Freedom ain't free. It is paid for with human lives, good and evil.

Part of personal responsibility is personal defense. For millennia women have been conditioned to accept being prey, to meekly accept being perpetual victims.

If male predators had to regularly face deadly prey, trained and able to strike back. It would be a major sea change for Humanity.
