You have to keep this up, I still want to see how all of this is intertwined in Amberle's story, which is one of the most beautiful things I have ever read.

Only just read part 1 of 5, but this looks amazing, waiting to see how this links in to Amberle's story, which was the way I got into this and that is a beautiful story, loving the Maureen reference, being on chapter 4!

I am mesmerized by all your body of writings but these "Tapestry" stories have taken us to new level of enjoyment. Such vivid characters and emotive plotlines.

I myself have been debating if I should submit the some of my own incomplete portions of larger novelettes. As I have not been able to come up with worthy endings for the storylines. I have come to the conclusion and your efforts with "Tapestry" have convinced me to make the effort, that I should submit the pieces as stand-alone stories that will eventually work into a coherent whole.

I think it is it's own genre I call "Life Stories". That will go on as long as I have something creative to put down. There will be no real ending for them. As in 'Real Life', people we know pass on. We ourselves, you and I, we die but the world keeps on spinning. After we are all gone, whatever the future holds. The wind will blow, water will flow, the Sun will shine and the Moon reflect.

An absolutely incredible feel good love story. One of the best I've ever read. I wish I could give more than a '5'.

WELL WAS IT THE FIRST OR THE LAST TWO THAT WERE THE WARNING SHOTS? I ENJOYED THE STORY AND I UNDERSTAND THAT MAUREEN (McKalya and Amberle daughter was in it). I do have some questions\\\\ 5 stars for sure . Vanessa was just trying to do things the only way she knew how to. The group espically(Jimmy) was her turning point in life.

Nice romantic, sexy story! The Castle Doctrine exists in North Carolina, where you can defend against a home invasion with deadly force, but 18 other States (NY, NJ, MD, my Hawaii, etc.) would require Jimmy to retreat (Duty to Retreat) into the basement like his friends or out the back door. Jimmy may have been legally OK to defend himself by firing as many shots as necessary to stop his attacker. However, tactically and practically, why would he waste 2 "warning" shots that might have been needed to stop his attacker? The "warning shot" is a Hollywood myth, a misconception from these boys' video games. Jimmy is legally responsible for every bullet fired. Firing warning shots in an inhabited area raises the possibility of .45 ACP slugs going through the house wall and hitting someone in the street or in houses across the street. The two warning shots bring up "reckless endangerment" charges. Also, remember that Jimmy owned a taser, which in police experience stops a violent drunk without killing him, and he could have retreated into the basement. I dont think so. The line about the look in Jimmys eyes says it all. The women he loved was being threatned and he did what he had to do to put an end to it once and for all. In all relality she should have never asked that question because she already knew the answer to it. We were left hanging when it ended before he could answer.

I liked the way so many things were tied up into a nice bow. Mckayla and Amberle, Melanie and Kevin,Melinda and her husband and there two ther wives. Duke Univ.,Nurydom the company that Melanie worked as a translator . A very good story that tied all of the friends children together.

Someone I knew worked at the Raleigh-Durham airport in security.

He told me of an old southern sheriff transporting a prisoner who told the prisoner that the law required him to fire a warning shot but no coroner on earth could tell if the first shot fired was the warning shot or the shot that killed him.

Whether the law actually required a warning shot or not I do not know, but the prisoner was well behaved during transport.

In some states people have been prosecuted and convicted as a felony for firing warning shots.

Non military or law enforcement should never fire warning shots.

Make your first shot center of mass and adjust as necessary.

It would be great to readcthese in chronological order. Any chance you could post a story timeline?

I had missed it before in my other readings but it clicked today there was a student Thompson it was the son of Marc and his beautiful wife. The young woman that came to be with him on Valentines day and her birthday his ex student. This is not the first read for me and I liked the ending when Vanessa asked Jimmy which were the warning shots first 2 or last 2. Kinda left it hanging there so first or last??

WONDERFUL STORY! Jimmy had better put his folks' grandchild in his loving wife. You could tell he loved her, because he didn't consider her a whore. Vanessa thought the same of him, because he treated her like his girlfriend, then, his loving wife. Vanessa has had her last name changed, now she needs her first name changed- to MOMMY! 10 stars isn't enough!!!

The last paragraph is just the icing on an extremely delicious cake.

4 or 4 1/2 enjoyed the plot of guys comfortable in their lives, morals, etc and her trying to overcome a lousy early life. I thought her asking if the warning shots were 1st or last was unneeded. more plot and less sex for me, although this is a sex website.
