Greyheaded1over 5 years agoThrough this series and “After the Reunion” that follows I cannot understand why Addie loves Matt. Matt is weak, nerdy , introverted and the least sexually able male that Addie has sex with.
Matt’s value seems to be as Mr. mom house husband allowing Addie to expand successful stores, clean house and cook. Robertl has not shown by Matt’s actions why he is attractive. I find myself enjoying Addies punishments of Matt because he deserves it.
kitearesover 5 years agoRobertL is a good writer, it is a pity that his male leads come across as at best dithery and his female leads seems to be bent on their own self gratification at any cost and neither pause to think about what that cost might be (I have more to say about that in regard to the After the Reunion series).
Overall, because of the strength of writing, I would give this series ~70%, it is well written and there is plenty of fun to be had and although the lead male is weak and the lead female gets in touch with her inner slut it doesn't go into wimp cuck territory, quite.

I'll put this one up front, this is set about 10 years in the future and has ties to the Michelle series of stories.
Matt has 3 major flaws in this series:
1) He sees Tanya as the most beautiful woman ever (what happened to Adriana??).
2) He sees himself as a lesser man than Tanner (better looking, better built, bigger cock blah blah). This manifests itself in Tanner doing things to Addie without limits, but when Tanner sets limits Matt opposes it in his head but says nothing.
3) He dithers. Robert writes the internal dialogue of his leading men very well, we get to see all the thought processes. This possibly makes it more frustrating when you see him think one thing and say another or us wondering what it will mean for him and his wife and rather than call a time out to chat to her he goes with what he thinks she might want, what he thinks might get her going and like Robert (from Michelle) the actions seem to push her toward the other man. Another aspect of his dithering is not being clear on what he wants/expects and will accept.
There is a lot of talk of 'talking' but there is no significant talking meaning drawing lines both red and amber and dishonesty about feelings, 'not wanting to ruin it for her', maybe he'd prefer his marriage ruined instead.
Adrianna's biggest flaw is she needs someone to pull her back and tell her to take a breath and think of what she wants both this weekend and ongoing. It is hard to know where she is coming from as we get limited dialogue from any of the main women.
Onethirdover 6 years agoVery good setup, one my baser instincts would turn toward an old boyfriend at the reunion, etc. The key here is that they are a loving couple, and that makes everything more meaningful and intense. I am looking forward to reading more.
Lickideesplitover 6 years agoIt has potential. A key point would seem to be that they have never discussed her prior (HS & college) social life. Expect he will have a better understanding of his 'innocent' wife by Sunday evening!
The reunion theme (usually HS) has a fairly rich (and poor) history in LIT ... esp. LW! Good luck.

At least her husband had the first try at getting her knocked up but wonder where we go from here?
