Discrete: "Individually separate and distinct". Opposite of continuous.
Discreet: Synonym of 'circumspect'. "Careful in what one says or does"
They have very different meanings. I don't think George's wife wants her lovers to be made up of distinct parts; I think she wants them to help her keep her secret.
Overall, your story was quite alright. :-)
