All Comments on 'The Collector'

I really liked where I thought this story was going, but when it reached its' conclusion it left me confused. Not that I didn't understand it; the eventual fate of the teacher was telegraphed from the very beginning of the story, so I knew what eventually would behappen to her. What I didn't like was the ending you set forth for her. Was she going to be aware of her surroundings as she was ' posed' as a trophy for the rest of her days? Was that to be her fate? And what of the other women? Do they not age under their glass cages? In twenty years, will Denise still look as attractive as she does now? And how is this accomplished? You made the father figure sound almost reptilian with his sibilant speech patern. Are we to assume he possibly is Satan in disguise? You created a cool story but you left too many holes in the plot for my liking.
