There's a New England ghost story about a girl called "Lavender".

Two college guys she a girl walkng along the road after sundown. They offer her a ride, and she accepts. She's wearing a lavender dress. When they ask her name, she tells them, "Call me Lavender."

They take her to a dance, and have a good time. Afterwards, she borrows a coat from one of the guys because she's cold. He forgets to grab his coat when they drop her off.

The next day, the guy goes to get his jacket from her, and he's met at the door by an older woman. He describes the girl, and the woman says "It sounds like my late daughter Lily. She loved wearing lavender, and she was buried in a dress like you described."

Mom tells him that Lily was buried just down the road. He goes to the cemetary and finds her grave.

At the base of the headstone... his neatly folded coat.

That was an excellent story! The build-up was interesting, the sex was hot and the explanation afterwards was beautiful. Very well done!
